Hi everyone, we are a married couple in our late 40's. We live locally and first got into naturism when we were on holiday in the Canaries last year, we came across a naturist beach and it seemed a bit silly to be the only ones with our 'cozzies'on........so off it came.

We were aware of the beach at Eastney but were a little reticent to begin with because you never know who you might bump in to, and it might have caused a shock.

But we started coming down earlier this summer, have told our friends and relatives what we do, and have settled well to it.

It is a relaxed atmosphere there is company if you want it but also privacy is more or less respected,

The only gripe is the large number of single guys of all ages who are obviously out for titilation and continually walk round and round with their plastic carrier bags in search of a nude woman.........cmon guys, get a life

Welcome to the site & forum, sundays.  Don't forget to come along and say hello on Sunday - you'll know who we are, it will be obvious!

Hi, sunnydays

I'm pleased that you have continued to use the beach despite early reservations. I also told family and friends about my naturism and that has made the whole business very much more positive. Anyway I decided that if someone else on the beach knew me and was nude then they would obviously be sharing this great lifestyle. No problem. If, on the other hand they were on a nudist beach and still clothed they would probably have more explaining to do than me!

My family know that I'm a naturist and they're happy with it, but I certainly haven't broadcast this fact among my work colleagues.  It's not that I'm ashamed or anything, it's just that the majority of non-naturists either can't or don't understand it.  Unfortunately many people automatically associate nudity with sex and I just don't need the hassle and "nudge-nudge, wink-wink" at work.

Now I've not had that experience at work - I was sort of "outed" with my name & picture appearing in the paper a few times - the first time one of the chaps here took great delight in showing the article to everyone he could - funnily enough he's not even a particularly close work colleague.  Now the people I do work with are absolutely fine - some mild rib-tickling perhaps, but really not much at all.  In fact, one colleague has helped out enormously by helping to draft & re-write press releases for the group.  Overall a very positive response.
