Is anyone here planning to visit the beach this coming weekend?  The weather forecast seems pretty good at the moment.  I'm hoping to go there this weekend.  I'm not sure yet whether I'll be there on Saturday or Sunday (or both!)

Hi everyone

I hope you have all been taking advantage of the glorious weather and using the beach!  I have just returned from holiday where the temperature was 'only' 25C and it was lovely!

I will catch up with replies to messages as soon as I can.

I was down the beach on sat and sun but the weather was quite poor. And it could nt make up its mind.

Late sunday afternoon was lovely though!

I would have been there, but family duties called.  I spent the weekend camping in the New Forest.  A thunder storm on Saturday destroyed our gazebo, but not my spirits as I had just spent a happy hour hiking naked through part of the new forest.  Chums that I was hiking with were a bit taken aback when they looked back to find me au naturale, but after some mild ribbing were happy enough to be walking along with me.  I know there's been some discussion on this forum about getting up a group to go hiking - well, we could do a lot worse than thew New Forest.  Very open countryside, which strikes me as being more suitable than closed forest.

Sadly, I didn't visit the beach either day as the weather has been so bad.  The sun came out around 2.30 here today but, as it takes me about 90 minutes to drive to Portsmouth, it was too late!

Are we all planning to visit the beach next Sunday (I hope)?  I think we should show solidarity.  Where did you go on holiday, Pamela? Somewhere nice?

I visited the beach this morning and I was there from about 10.15 to 12.45.  It was really hot and sunny but there were not many people there.  The skies clouded over later and the forecast for tomorrow is not good  Sad

I've just looked at the latest forecast from www.metcheck.com which looks quite favourable so let's hope it is true! There will be a presence from the steering committee so do not despair. Hot cups of tea will no doubt draw the crowds into the gazebo so be early to avoid disappointment.  Smiley

We'll be there rain or shine - good thing our birthday suits are of the waterproof variety.  The weather forecast from the beeb and the met office don't look too bad!  It certainly looks like it'll be a brightening day (well, it will for me - I intend to take a couple of bottles of san miguel along - just to dull the pain!).

There'll be cakes too!  Me & the sprog have had a baking session & there are about 90 or so little cakes up for grabs - there would have been a few more but we had to check them out (quality control checks only you understand!).
