Alton Sports Evening

Saturday 8th March, from 19.30 to 22.30.  Contact Chris or Sandra for details on 023 8063 2199.  Tickets £9 in advance or £12 at the door.  We met up with some Eastney beach users at the event earlier this month.  The whole centre is taken over for the evening with both wet and dry side activities and most importantly - the cafe is also open for drinks and light refreshments.  We hope to see many of you there.

For those who can't wait for the next CCBN meeting in March, the Alton Sports Centre run a naturist swim every Sunday evening from 7.30 to 9.30.  These evenings are for adults only and costs £6.15 each.  The evening is only on the wet side of the centre but the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are in use in addition to the pool.  We have been for the last 2 weeks and will be there again tomorrow, so if you would like to come along and say hello to us and some of the other Eastney regulars you will be more than welcome.

Whilst I'd like to support the regular Sunday swim, its a bit of a run from where I live, and Sunday is not the ideal evening either. However I have my ticket for the event on Saturday 8th March, which will be my second visit. I look forward to meeting any Eastney users there.

Hello everyone, although we use the beach regularly we have never been to an organised event such as Alton Sports Centre. It is however of interest to us but we would like a bit more info about it, is it open to the general public, is it a cross section or very male orientated. My wife is quite happy to come along but 1. would like some female company to chat too, and 2. not just be gawped at by voyeuristic males. Can someone give us some idea of what it is like...........thanks

I might be able to help with some of your queries. I'm not sure if you have to be either a member of BN or some other naturist organization or not (no one asked me for a membership card),  but the contact details for the organizers are in the first post of this thread.

My first visit was last month. Males were in the majority, but there were a number of women there, and a few family groups. I certainly don't think that any lady was suffering from being gawped at be voyeuristic males, and would recommend that  you and your wife try at least one visit. Again a chat with the organizers might help allay any concerns.

dandd..........thanks everso much for the information, it has put our minds at ease a little. We will not be able to make it this Saturday owing to a prior arrangement but having looked at the Sport Centre website it looks as though the use of the pool on a Sunday evening is a regular occurrence and if so that would be very convenient for us. Whatever happens we will get there shortly.............but roll on summer

Hi Sunnydays, it's a pity you can't make this Saturday, but there at 3 more events planned for September, October and November.

We have been to the Sunday swim session organised by the Sports Centre over the last 3 weeks but won't be there this Sunday.  If you can make the following weekend (16 March) we hope to be there.  Hope to see you there and at Eastney.

If you are at a loose end this Sunday, why not come along to the swim session.  I have checked with the centre to confirm that this weekend's session will be held as usual.  Sunday evenings aren't always convenient for some folks, but with Monday being a bank holiday a lie in can be justified. lol!!
