Don't know how many of you attended the QinetiQ Fraser Open day a couple of years back, it seems such a long time ago now! (back in March 2005). But when looking at some of the pictures and CGI (computer generated images) of what the new homes will look like I did think at the time that the buildings would be very over-powering to the local scenery.

Especially Fort Cumberland. There was one picture - a CG Image looking East towards Fraser from roughly Eastney Swimming Pool; and it looked huge!!! Undecided

I know that qinetiq hold these pictures and I would like to ask any forum member willing to get in contact with QinetiQ to request a copy of these as it will offer others the chance to see these buildings in "real" surroundings.

I too will get in contact with QinetiQ - I have contacted them a couple of times over the general development plan but they are not giving anything away at the moment.  Its a bit frustrating.

I don't see any reason for them not to release these pictures as they were on view at the Open Day.

So.....

Please can I ask for a willing member to also contact the Customer Contact Team, based at Farnborough (CTP). It will have more of an impact if a couple or more write in.

The easiest way to contact QinetiQ is through their web enquiry form:

http://www.qinetiq.com/home/contact.html

Your request will probably be put through to Rich Waterman, QinetiQ Estates. If we do get a picture we can post it up.

Thanks,

There's a lot of stuff on the planning application website, here:

Planning Application on the UK Planning Website

In particular the picture you're probably thinking of is here: Link to Picture

... or maybe one of the other pages in this document

Hope this helps...

NB  Be careful with the links above - the page is a bit confused about where the links end, so you will have to copy and paste for the first and last ones, rather than clicking...

uknudist - thanks, this is spot on (or near enough). And yes they were the pictures I was thinking of. I have googled "Fraser Range" and various formats of this wording to death but couldn't find these pictures.

Very well done on finding them!

It would still be nice to have them in electronic format don't you think? Perhaps the administrator's might have a view on this? I would like to see these in colour on this website. I will make some enquiries with QinetiQ.

The links are to copyrighted material - we can link to them, but not take a copy and display them ourselves.  I've also taken the liberty of tidying up the links.
